Presets
The Refined Graphics Preset on the General tab sets every Refined Graphics option at once. The game’s own options keep the Quality Preset above it.
An effect that another installed visual mod also changes stays off in every preset. See Other visual mods.
Apply, Back and Defaults
- Apply applies the game’s options as the Video page does, then ours, and saves them.
- Back drops what you changed.
- Defaults resets the tab. On General it means the Fixes preset with Comfort Settings off.
What the marks mean
- An orange mark sits on a game option that an effect you turned on enhances.
- A row greys out, before you press Apply, where the game option it builds on stops it.
- A cyan caption and a sign beside a row show a setting changed from its default. Click the sign to reset it.
- Another sign shows a setting that applies when a world loads, or after a restart.
What it costs
The General tab shows the Total Performance Impact of everything you have on, the effects with the Most Impact, the Graphics API the game runs on and the Changed Settings. Each effect’s row shows its own cost in frames. The total names any effect that isn’t measured yet.Compare key
In a world, hold the compare key to see the game’s own look instead of ours, and let go to bring ours back. The default key is the backslash,\.
Compare Key Mode has three settings:
- Hold: the game’s look while you hold the key.
- Toggle: one press shows the game’s look, the next brings ours back.
- Blind Test: the two looks as A and B in random order. Tap the key to switch, hold it to choose, and your choice is saved.
