# Install Refined - First Person

> Put Refined - First Person in the game's Mods folder, turn off EasyAntiCheat and open the Workbench.

<Info>
  Still in development. There is no release to download yet.
</Info>

## Install

1. Download the zip from the [Releases page](https://github.com/TimShol/refined-first-person/releases).
2. Unzip it into the game's `Mods` folder, so you end up with `Mods\Refined-First-Person`. On Steam that folder is `C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\Mods`; create it if it isn't there.
3. Turn off EasyAntiCheat in the game's launcher and choose **Run & Save as default**. Mods with their own code don't load while it's on. With it off you can't join servers that require it.

## Open the Workbench

With the game running, press **F2**. The Workbench opens in your browser at `http://127.0.0.1:8731/`, an address only your own computer can reach. You install and run nothing else.

## Start the test world

1. From the main menu, choose **Play Game**, then **New Game**.
2. Set **Game World Type** to **Static World**.
3. Set **Game World** to **FPA\_TestWorld**.
4. Enter any **Game Name** you have not used on this world yet.
5. Choose **Start**.

To come back later, pick the save under **Play Game**, then **Continue Game**.

## Your files

**Save changes** in the Workbench keeps your values in `%APPDATA%\7DaysToDie\Refined\FirstPerson\player`. A new version of the mod never touches that folder. To keep your tuning or take it to another computer, copy the folder.

## Uninstall

Delete the `Refined-First-Person` folder. Your settings stay in `%APPDATA%\7DaysToDie\Refined\FirstPerson\player` in case you come back.

## Versions

| Game | Mod | Download |
| - | - | - |
| V3.2 | V3.2-R1 | coming soon |

`V3.2-R1` means the first release for game version 3.2. Fixes for the same game version count up: R2, R3.
